Public input

After the DEIS publication, anticipated for summer 2010, public events will offer an opportunity to share information and solicit comments about the no-build, enhanced bus and streetcar alternatives and design options based on a comparison of potential benefits and impacts.

Project newsletters

The most recent newsletter, form winter 2009, provides descriptions of alternatives and design options studied in the environmental analysis and an overview of the process. The first newsletter provides background information and a timeline, outlines the purpose of the analysis and describes the project advisory committee. The second newsletter provides descriptions of the transit and trail alternatives that were evaluated in detail in the alternatives analysis phase of the study and an overview of evaluation results.All three newsletters are available below...Go

Decision-making process

Decisions for the Lake Oswego to Portland transit projects are made through a flexible, interactive process involving the citizen advisory, technical advisory and steering committees, the project management group and additional public participation. The project is a joint effort by Metro, TriMet, the cities of Lake Oswego and Portland, Clackamas and Multnomah counties

Citizen advisory committee

The citizen advisory committee includes local residents, business leaders and representatives from public institutions and community groups. The committee considers information similar to what is reviewed by the technical advisory committee and provides input and guidance to the project management group and steering committee... More

Technical advisory committee

The technical advisory committee provides analysis of technical and environmental findings and directs the activities of the DEIS. The committee is comprised of technical staff from project partners.

Project management group

The project management group reviews technical recommendations and oversees management of technical and environmental findings. The committee is comprised of senior management from project partners.

Steering committee

The steering committee makes final recommendations to Metro Council and to jurisdictions along the transit corridor. The committee is comprised of elected and appointed officials from project partners... More
